FOOTFALL TO TURN IN

Updated: Sep 27, 2024

Terrific and majestic this country is – HINDUSTAN!!

INDIA is a country with tremendous democracy, the sixth largest economy, the second most population in the world, and equality of diversity and cultures. A legend. Given the demographic advantages, it has incredible potential to grow both socially and economically. This is a country with diverse variety of languages, with a beautiful frame showcasing ‘Sanskrit’ as the ancient and the foremost one in Indian myths. Although our country is developing day by day, the pace of growth is rising, but, yes there are few places where our country needs to grow and enlighten its activities and functions.

I as a proud Indian girl, a civil patriot would like to highlight ten changes that are essential to nurture this growth:

FIRST , advancements in technology and agriculture. It must make efficient use of artificial intelligence as it has the potential to bring in a lot of disruFption. Agriculture should be given special attention as it is the backbone of Indian economy.

SECOND , comes the military power. There is a need to strengthen the military power of the country. It must be at par with any other nation, so that no country could dare to challenge India’s sovereignty.

THIRD , is corruption. Even after demonetization and Goods and Services Tax (GST) implementation, corruption is still on the rise. It is essential to stop this menace as soon as possible. Money of people should be money for people.

FOURTH , is the media. We all know that our country’s media is biased and each one has political affiliations. Many times they create news out of non-issue. Media being the forth pillar of a thriving democracy has to be free of any influence.

FIFTH , is the education system. India focuses more on theory based studies instead of practical based studies. This curbs the talent and creativity of extraordinary minds. Practical based learning must be emphasized and this requires fundamental changes in the education system.

SIXTH , adoption of renewable energy such as electric vehicles, solar energy, etc. Though, the government has taken various initiatives to encourage use of renewable energy, but we need to accelerate the adoption. Electric vehicle is the future world over and solar energy has numerous benefits.

SEVENTH , comes cleanliness. Although, a considerable progress has been made under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ but still many people litter, split and throw trash on roads without considering the consequences. People need to behave responsibly and make others aware.

EIGHT , is safer roads and better infrastructure. Though, government has done a lot of work on infrastructure, but a lot more still needs to be done. One lakh people die on roads in a year. The government must continue to invest heavily in all kinds of infrastructure and enforce road safety.

NINTH , we should do away with reservations in government jobs. Jobs and career progression should always be merit and performance based. Reservation is demoralizing for deserving and spoils the overall work culture, which no longer remains output oriented.

TENTH , moving towards digital everything. With the penetration of low cost internet, a lot is happening at the touch of mobile phones- cab booking, food ordering, e-commerce and many more. However, technology should reach to the bottom of the pyramid and the government should make all its services and information digital.

We all have to work together in bringing about these changes as

WE ARE ONLY AS STRONG AS WE ARE UNITED AND AS WEAK AS WE ARE DIVIDED.

We as people have to act responsibly, contribute in whatever way possible and help the government to implement its policies. It is my as well as every proud Indian’s dream to see a progressive India like many other countries.

Lastly, ending by quoting the lines of legacy of peace – MAHATMA GANDHI

HAPPINESS IS WHEN WHAT YOU THINK, WHAT YOU SAY AND WHAT YOU DO ARE IN HARMONY!

Therefore, we all need to become our own lights and flashlights for FOOTFALL TO TURN IN!
